MAIN STEEL APPOINTS KEVIN STEVICK CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Stevick Previously Served as CEO of Optima Specialty Steel, Niagara LaSalle
Elk Grove Village, Illinois, April 12, 2016 – Main Steel, LLC (“Main Steel” or the “Company”), a leading national specialty processor and polisher of stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel alloys, announced today that Kevin Stevick has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Stevick succeeds Tom Modrowski, who successfully managed the Company through a carve-out from its former corporate parent and will continue to work with the Company in a consulting role as well as serve on the Company’s Board.
Mr. Stevick joins Main Steel with over 28 years of leadership experience in the metals sector, recently serving as CEO of Optima Specialty Steel, a leading independent international manufacturer of steel products.
Peter Leibman, a Board member of Advanced Alloy Processing, Main Steel’s parent company, commented on Mr. Stevick’s appointment, stating, “Kevin Stevick is a talented industry veteran with a demonstrated track record of building strong customer relationships and growing companies in the metals sector through organic growth initiatives and strategic add-on acquisitions. Prior to his role as CEO of Optima Specialty Steel, Mr. Stevick spent 5 years as CEO of Niagara LaSalle, a leading independent international manufacturer and distributor of cold finished steel bars. Mr. Stevick has a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
