This commercially pure alloy is known for its product purity thanks to its impressive corrosion resistance properties. It also has high levels of magnetostrictive properties and electrical conductivity. As a 99.6% pure nickel, this alloy features the following chemical composition:

  • Nickel with cobalt (greater than 99%)
  • Iron (0.40% or less)
  • Manganese (0.35% or less)
  • Silicon (0.35% or less)
  • Copper (0.25% or less)
  • Carbon (0.15% or less)
  • Sulfur (0.01% or less)

The chemical composition of nickel alloy 200 gives it a melting point between 2,615 and 2,635 degrees Fahrenheit. The material can be hot worked or cold worked, with hot working temperatures between 1,200 and 2,250 degrees Fahrenheit.
