What is Pipe?
A pipe is a round cylindrical tube made from metal that is primarily designed to carry or transport a medium such as fluids or gases. A pipe has generally fewer applications than a tube. Pipes are also used as a casing or housing for electrical wire in above-ground or underground applications. Similar to tubes, pipes can be manufactured in either a seamless or welded process. Pipes are also used in building and construction, fire suppression, clean and wastewater movement, general plumbing, chemical plants, oil and gas, refining, HVAC and irrigation applications.
