Company History
Arbor/Metals Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Triple-S Steel Holdings Corporation. Triple-S Steel Holdings' story began in the 1930's, when Russian immigrant Johnny Stein came to America with less than $5 dollars in his pocket. Through hard work and perseverance, he opened his own small scrap-metal business, Houston based Dixie Iron and Metal Co. This laid the foundation on which Johnny's son Bruce would build Triple-S Steel. Over the years the entire Stein Family including our current CEO, Gary Stein has contributed to Triple-S's success. Triple-S Steel has grown into a multi-billion dollar, multinational company with more than 50 locations. In addition, Triple-S has expanded beyond steel into non-ferrous metals with it's acquisition of Arbor/Metals Inc.
No matter how big Triple-S grows, the Stein family continues to live by their core values of grit, determination, perseverance, and love of God, family, and country. Financial strength, strong morals, firm commitment to customers, and unwavering support of employees are how Triple-S does business. The company is here for the long haul; and with a strong balance sheet and ample liquidity to fund continued growth, it's ready for the next generation and beyond.
