Nickel 625 Supplier

Nickel alloy 625 is an outstanding metal for corrosive applications where high pressure and temperature variations are expected. At Arbor/Metals Inc., we’re a leading nickel alloy supplier for industrial businesses. We offer nickel 625 products in a variety of stock sizes and gauges, as well as custom specifications for your organization’s needs.

What Is Nickel 625?

Alloy 625 is a nickel-chromium alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance. The metal’s chemical composition consists of at least 58% nickel, 20% to 23% chromium, 8% to 10% molybdenum, and 3% to 4% niobium. Nickel 625 also has some iron content (maximum of 5%) and trace amounts of aluminum, titanium, carbon, and manganese.

This diverse range of high-strength materials delivers excellent performance in seawater and chemical environments. It has high tensile strength and considerable resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, pitting, and oxidation.

Nickel Alloy 625 Vs. 600-Grade Nickel Alloy

How do grades 625 and 600 compare?

  • Corrosion resistance: Both options have high corrosion resistance, but grade 625 is practically unbeatable.
  • Strength: The chrome-moly added to grade 625 provides increased impact resistance and tensile, rupture, creep, and fatigue strength.
  • Heat resistance: While grade 625 can handle corrosive environments of up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, nickel alloy 600 withstands even greater temperatures (up to 2,000 degrees).

Alloy 600 has more nickel (72%), cobalt, iron, and copper, but no molybdenum.

Industries and Applications for Nickel 625

This alloy's outstanding corrosion resistance and strength make it a prime choice for heavy-duty manufacturing:

  • Aerospace
  • Shipbuilding, underwater communications, and other marine
  • Chemical manufacturing
  • Mining, oil and gas
  • Heavy machinery manufacturers
  • Nuclear, hydroelectric, and wind turbine power generation

Applications include submarine propulsion systems, oceanic cables, turbine seals, jet engine exhaust components, and bridge support cables. In processing plants, nickel 625 appears in reaction vessels, transfer pipes, and distillation columns.

Why Choose Us As Your Nickel Alloy Supplier?

In addition to offering a wide range of high-performance nickel alloys, we provide exceptional service and support. We deliver products quickly and to your precise specifications.

Choose from many 625 alloy products:

  • Coils and oscillate coils
  • Circles and rings
  • Cylinders and round bars
  • DFARS-compliant nails and wires
  • Sheets and plates

Our processing services include CNC machining and cut-to-order parts.

How Does Nickel 625 Benefit Your Operations?

This alloy offers incredible resistance to pressurized seawater, alkalis, acids (including sulfuric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric), and other caustic substances. It can withstand high-stress environments that weaken other metals. The results are increased performance, work safety, equipment longevity, and reduced downtime.
