Structural Steel / Metal Angle Supplier
What is an Angle?
A structural steel angle is one of the most basic structural metal shapes used in a variety of applications including building and construction, equipment manufacturing and many other industries. It consists of two flat metal surfaces which are joined or formed from a larger segment at a 90-degree angle to provide strength and prevent deformation.
Angles are produced in three classifications:
- Equal Leg Angles: Both sides (Legs) are the same dimensions.
- Un-Equal Leg Angles: One side (Leg) is larger than the other.
- Architectural Angles: Architectural aluminum angles are equal leg angles with sharp corners and a constant, consistent thickness through the entire segment. The 90-degree angle on the inside/outside of the angle is also exact and considered "sharp". They are used in applications where the cosmetic appearance takes precedence over the strength of the part.
