What is a Fitting?
A pipe fitting or connector is an adapter used in plumbing systems to connect one length of pipe to another to change direction or to lengthen the flow of the medium inside. Pipe Fittings can also combine, divert, increase, or reduce the flow of the medium traveling through the pipe. Fittings are sized in a similar manner as pipe.
