What is Flat Bar?
Flat Bar is an extruded, rolled or slit product produced from sheet or plate. It is also referred to as 'Rectangular Bar'. When produced as an extruded or rolled product, it is sometimes called "True Bar" or "True Mill Bar". True Bar is used in specific applications where the end-use requires consistent thickness or consistent grain structure. True Bar also generally has a more consistent finish than Flat Bar produced by the Slitting process. Flat bar is mainly used in structural or fabrication applications, where lightweight and corrosion resistance is a concern.
