What is Gasket Strip?
At Arbor/Metals Inc., we specialize in spiral wound gasket strip. Composed of a Steel centering (outer) ring, a spiral wound sealing strip (Filler) and an inner ring made of special steel; spiral wound gaskets are produced by winding alternating strips of metal and filler material. We carry both Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloys for Gasket manufacturing. These specialty metal gaskets are most commonly used in high pressure, high temperature, and/or highly corrosive environments.
Typically, Stainless Steel or Nickel Alloy gaskets are used in Petrochemical, Refining and Chemical Processing applications. We provide both oscillate wound and pancake coils. Oscillate coils can be provided with 'Print' (Material Specifications) on the strip for easier identification in the field. Arbor/Metals Inc. features two dedicated oscillate wound slitting machines and a dedicated pancake coil slitting machine. We provide quick turnarounds and flexible inventory to meet those tight deadlines or emergency situations.
We carry finished goods inventory in our Houston, TX distribution center to facilitate same day or next day deliveries in the Houston Metro area and beyond.
