What are Fab Straps?
Fab straps are custom cut to length segments of industrial banding. These straps are cut to the length required to 'circle' or wrap standard sizes of carbon or stainless steel pipe including insulation. Fab straps are primarily used in refineries and petrochemical plants to secure pipe jacketing or insulation maintain the temperature of the medium passing through the interior of the pipe. They can also be color coded to denote the type of insulation currently in place on the existing pipes.
Our newest line of banding products are pre-cut fab straps. Arbor Metals TM has recently made significant capital investments to improve its fab strap cut to length line. This automated line quickly and efficiently cuts to length fab straps, as well as pre-bends and attaches wing seals for a fab strap ready to use in the field.
Utilizing our pre-cut fab straps saves you tremendous amounts of time in the field on large jobs. Our prepackaged, multiple piece boxes are easier to handle, store and deploy for use in the field. The man-hours previously devoted to making fab straps can be re-allocated to other essential parts of your operation.
